How do I set up multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

CUNY's central office of Computer & Information Services (CIS) has been rolling out multi-factor authentication (MFA) to all systems that utilize the CUNY Login - this includes CUNYfirst, Brightspace, Zoom, DegreeWorks, and now also remote access to Library databases.

See this helpful FAQ from the CUNY Office of Library Services about downloading the Microsoft Authenticator mobile app, as well as the MFA TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) for use with the Microsoft Authenticator.

The York College IT Department also has a webpage devoted to MFA, which includes a Quick Start Video.

For support regarding MFA (multi-factor authentication), contact the IT Help Desk, which is located in the Welcome Center in the Atrium of the Academic Core Building; or you can contact them by telephone at (718) 262-5300, or via email helpdesk@york.cuny.edu. You can also open up a support ticket with York's IT on the York website.
